What Do you mean by Tenders

Tenders are a formal process in which an organization or government invites bids for the supply of goods, services, or works. In other words, it is a process by which organizations and governments procure goods and services from suppliers, contractors, or vendors.

Tenders are usually published in newspapers, online portals, or government websites, and interested parties are invited to submit their bids or proposals. Tenders typically include detailed specifications of the goods or services required, delivery timelines, evaluation criteria, and other terms and conditions.

Bidders are expected to meet these requirements and submit their best bid or proposal, often in a sealed envelope. The organization or government then evaluates the bids based on the specified criteria and awards the contract to the successful bidder. Tenders are a way for organizations and governments to ensure transparency, competitiveness, and fairness in the procurement process. There are several ways to find tenders in India:

Government e-Procurement System (GeM): GeM is an online marketplace for government departments and agencies to buy goods and services. All tenders related to government procurement are published on the GeM portal. You can visit the GeM website (https://gem.gov.in/) and create an account to view and bid on tenders. Tender portals: There are several online portals in India that aggregate tenders from different government departments and agencies.

Some popular tender portals include Tendernews.com, Tender247.com, TenderTiger.com, and TenderDetail.com. Newspaper advertisements: Many government tenders are still advertised in newspapers, especially in regional language newspapers. You can check the classifieds section of newspapers to find tender notices. Government department websites: Most government departments and agencies have their own websites where they publish tenders. You can visit the websites of the relevant departments to find tenders.

Local trade associations: Local trade associations and chambers of commerce often have information about tenders related to their respective industries. You can contact these associations to inquire about tenders. Social media: Some government departments and agencies also publish tender notices on their social media pages. You can follow these pages to stay updated on new tenders.
